Morning Drive Time
You know, those radio morning shows, with the rowdy DJ's, and all their comedy bits, features, and routines.
I can only listen to so much of it, rather hear the music while in my car, but in my rural area, what radio stations you can pick up depends on what direction you're driving.
One station does a "Craigslist freak of the week" where they read aloud 4 of the weirdest listings and take text votes for the freakiest. Pretty funny really.
Anyone else have a favorite station or morning drive time show?

Re: Morning Drive Time
I just find they one with the least amount of ridiculous banter, then flip channels to avoid hearing the silliness.
I worked with someone and she would listen to the stock reports.

Re: Morning Drive Time
We use to have a great radio station nearby, all alternative new music with no comercials, no morning shows.
(sigh)....their tower went down one night during a storm, they rebuilt in a new area, can't pick it up any more.
Stock reports on the car radio would put me to sleep at the wheel, do know quite a few who love to listen to NPR while on the road.

Re: Morning Drive Time
I have a very short drive time. Not enough time to hear much but talking on the radio.

Re: Morning Drive Time
Oh, how I pity you poor people stuck on the wrong side of the pond.
Here, we have the glorious BBC which, with a few minor exceptions (Russell brand and Jonathan Ross - who should be the subject of Super-Injunctions to keep their crap away from the public), is a paragon of broadcasting.
BBC Radio is particularly excellent so any drive-time is an absolutely pleasure with 5-Live excellent for Sport and man-on-the-Clapham-omnibus news and the impeccable Radio 4 for intellectual news, interviews, discussions and comedy!
