Gawd, I bet that's some good stuff, I do love the chocolate.
I've tried that frozen Strawberry lemonade from MacDonalds, I like it, pretty good, brain freeze if you're not careful though.

Re: ice cream
We have a death by chocolate dessert in one of my favourite restaurants over here. It basically gets served in a goldfish bowl and is a mixture of ice-cream, marshmallows, cake, cream, sauce, nuts, choc pieces and anything else. Hot and cold in it - we have tried to share it between six people and still never finished it!
..but I will beg if anyone does have an authentic Red Velvet Receipe to share I would love it. Have some American and Filipino friends who miss it a lot x

It's Mocha ice cream swirled with a little vanila mousse and some chunky bits of chocolate. I could eat buckets of the stuff.

I buy the cheapest, off-brand vinilla, mix in some str8 vanilla flavor=double vanilla. Same thing add straberry jam to taste. But what I really like black licorice, that's seasonal, from Baslin-Robbins. All good stuff right there now. (LTCG)

Death by Chocolate is awesome...We have in Michigan "Mackinaw Island Fudge", Mackinaw is the fudge capital of uhm...that area, lol...but the ice cream is great. Also "Bear Tracks" dark chocolate with caramel swirled in.. and cashews. No calories there! But....to die for...or enjoy on a ..I mean with a lady friend.

I love ice cream, and it is like beer for me. Hard to find any type I don't like. They have made so many wonderful flavors and combinations... However, I will say, sometimes I don't want to be constantly chewing my ice cream.
I have my favorites, Mint Chip, Amaretto Almondine, Butter Pecan, Rocky Road, Peach, Black Cherry.. oh, and coconut.
Though, none can compare with the hand churned, homemade strawberry ice cream my grandfather use to make......made with LOVE!!!

Re: ice cream
I am computer challenged for a while sorry it took me So long. I am still using my phone but hopefully only for a few more days now that my son finished finals and opened this week. Anyway I will send you a red velvet recipe when I get my computer back.I also have As French silk recipe that is almost like a " cloud". Actually I'm still messing around with both recipes to try to get them to the perfection that people remember. I do think alot has to do with the quality of the ingredients. For example use a really great quality cocoa and fresh cream etc.. I will send it to you soon Josie.
Miss you all lots!

Re: ice cream
OK I can sometimes go months without ice-cream and never think about it and there are times I could eat it for breakfast , lunch and dinner.Until recently I would have said if its not chocolate I wouldn't even bother but I have had two flavors that just make my mouth water lately. Red Velvet is one of them and a Pistachio gelato is the other. OMG I just can't buy them. I bought it the last time I went shopping and I swear I woke up at 3am and went to the freezer just to have a huge cup full. That's when I said NO MORE!Now I will only get them once in a while.
I have noticed when I don't feel well I crave cold thing and no real food. I think that's odd.I wonder why that is? Anyone ever hear of that before? The more tired or bad I feel the worse it is. Food just doesn't appeal to me but give me a ice cold smoothie or Ice-cream I am good.

Being that I don't drink I don't think I would add vodka.lol Kahlua is one of the very rare drinks I do enjoy. I bet that is really good on ice-cream. I know It's great in Tiramisu.
Just as a little side note I just found out that Tiramisu in Italian mean "pick me up". That's a great name for that dessert.

Re: ice cream
I bought one of those Hoodsie Cup kind of ice creams. It was supposedly the, "Official Red Sox Nation" ice creams. It was funny to say the least. White vanilla with caramel swirls and Sox looking chocolate pieces inside it, but when I opened it up it looked like a conveyor belt malfunction. The icecream was on the bottom, covered completely in caramel and the chocolate pieces were all to one side. You could of eaten three or four bites of just caramel and chocolate pieces without even getting to the ice cream...

I'm not in advertising anymore. I don't work anymore. Now I get to watch the ads and find all the mistakes and laugh at how bad some of them are.I can tell you that the things you think you see are not what you are really seeing. For example when you see a close up of a bowl of cereal and the milk is sitting perfectly on those flakes. Its Elmers glue. Or when you see that perfect scoop of ice-cream , don't you wonder how they shoot it without it melting with all the lights? It's dough.Even the boxes that they use for commercials are special for the shoot.

I've seen many of the ways they make food commercials. And, off topic, I saw the best commercial yesterday, and I've only seen it once. It is for a tampon, and I have always HATED tampon commercials.
