Confirmation bias

The confirmation bias is the tendency to look for or interpret information in a way that confirms beliefs. Individuals reinforce their ideas and attitudes by selectively collecting evidence or retrieving biased memories.

I think it is almost a key part of our self preservation instinct. Once we have a belief, until it is challenged in a way that speaks to our core personality and therefore can change us, we will of course only choose information that reinforces our sense of self.

If I undestand this correctly, I would agree with Chazzy. Can only speak for myself, I know I'm full of it, and "it", being half a word. This only get'r one yuk. Did I mention I'm naked? Plz refer to the affor-mentioned.
