Cougars (not of the kitty type)
Older men , appreciate younger hot ladies , (we all know we're still hot and they want us too, grandpa ). Even though they are nice to look at, I've already raised 2 boy's, 2 girl's, I'm done. I prefer ladies pretty much born around my decade, a bit younger is ok. Far-be-it for me to judge anyone, so my question is, how much a rarity are cougars? Do a majority of mature ladies find hot young studs, something for them to imagine, or, if the opportunity presented itself, would they, you know? Is it as with men, an ego booster?

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
A guess here---- I think the fantacy of younger guy is more prevelant than it actually happening. Much like 50 something guys "dating" a 18-30 year old.
That is unless she's a teacher.

Nope, not interested in younger men at all and I have no need to prove that I still "got it"

That is the most factual thing I've heard here, for a while. (Welcome back)

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
My boyfriend is 25 years older than me. I don't think it's a big ego boost for him because I'm not a hot skinny babe. I'm just me! I prefer an older guy because he's much more mature. He knows what I want without me having to ask for it. If we want to just hang out at home..its not on his mommas sofa because he has his own house. Even though we are so far apart in age we have the same interests and opinions.

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
I always dated older men and still find them to be the most attractive option, for all the reasons you can think of. Although I married a man 3 years younger then me.
I have nieces and nephews that I raised from little ones who are mid 20's and I just can't view anyone in their age range in a sexual manner. My age or older for chat and fun and anything more involved.

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
My first real love was a cougar, but you couldn't tell her that (she would have killed you)... I was 23 and she was 36. It's because of her that I have a thing about older women too. Young high school and college girls make every guy turn around when they walk by, but I turn my head for the older ones too. Guys who don't, don't know what they're missing...

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
I think it is just natural, for the young men to seek out someone older. When they hit puberty and things start to change and come alive, well, it's not girls their age in the girly magazines... RIGHT!
And, now whether it is a fad, or the word has gotten around it is prevelant. I know all the young ones on WN are ready to go.
For me personally, I don't feel any great satisfication if someone young is checking me out. And, how they check me out makes a huge difference.
Lastly, I never went for younger men . Younger guys in HS would stand on their toes and try to kiss me. After that, I would say I've had a few younger relations. I dated Asher, he was 27, and I 32. He was mature, probably more so than I!!!! He did not like that I went out every night. He wanted me to settle down. There have been younger, at 27, and 17... not my idea, THEIRS!!
Truely, the last two, too young and I'd be embarrassed. I guess they had no issues with it.

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
I have always enjoyed the older women myself. I do not really have a good reason. I think I am just more mature, I have always gotten along better with older people. Man and women.
My first sexual partner was in her thirties and I was 17, One of my more recent girl friends was 8 years older than I, and I fell head over heels in love. she was the best I had ever had sexually and relationship wise.

Cool. Unfortunatly, I'm at that age, where cougars I can get, are in homes, talking to themselves, drooling, and food falling out of thier mouths. And no, I'm not making fun of them, just having fun with them. I'm getting there, a little sooner than most know here.

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
I think at least from what I have been told the cougar "thing" is somewhat of an irritant to many woman..of course I haven't a clue as far as ratio, I mean I haven't been a woman for many years now...NO NO!! I mean, ehem the woman that have mentioned it to me have found the term not to their liking and have described some of the young hunters more like pests or something. I have dated woman younger, and older..it's all about if we mesh, a maturity thing, not so much an age issue for me. When I was 30 I dated a 20 year old for a time, but she wasn't like the average twenty year old I knew..we got along great on all levels. I've always gotten along better with woman then men, though that's changed some as I've gotten older...men will converse where they didn't at a younger age, at least in my opinion. Years ago, woman wanted to converse where most guys my age wanted to tell me "who they did, and what they did"..and I am like..you think I care? Or they'd ask me what I did, blah blah...again I am like, um...go find your crayons and leave me alone. So when I was 20, most of the guys I got along with were 30 or more as they were past that stage where the conversation had no weight to it..no IQ involved...lol So,with woman it's about personality and whether or not we mesh beyond the psychical level...I mean there has to be conversation at some point..for moi anyway.

Re: Cougars (not of the kitty type)
I feel basically like Josie.I have always been attracted to older guys.I only dated three guys in my life that weren't older than me. One was a Guy the same age as me right before I got married. We actually got along great and I made the wrong choice is all I can say about that. The other was the guy I was dating right before I met Kam.He was nine years younger than me. Most times it was fine but at times he would say things that made me think we have nothing in common. The third is Kam but he is only a little younger than I am. I think as we get older the age thing isn't as much an issue. At my age dating aguy nine years younger than me doesn't mean he will be immature because he is still old enough to be secure in a job and life as general. My exhusband was eight years older than me. I believe at 18 those numbers have much more of an impact than they do now.
