Lack of sleep.
I am about to go to bed after having been up for twenty-four hours working on a wedding cake. The longest I've ever gone without sleep is about three days. What's the longest you've gone without sleep?

Sleep is precious to me, I've gone weeks and even months with just a 15 ot 20 minute naps here and there and lucky to have 'em. I suffered the effects of it all something awful.
When I can have some sort of schedule or routine that includes 5 to 6 hours of sleep, it's wonderful.
I bet that cake looks beautiful! Imposing "cake rule" here...what kind of cake?

I would say about 3 days, but that was about 30 years ago. I've also had the perputual napping experience. Lack of sleep is horrendous on you brain and your body.
I know one evening, I was sitting in my chair, the huge dog in my lap, a glass of wine in my left hand, and watching Moody Blues on T.V. Well, next thing I know, I must of dosed off. It was an hour later, wine still in my hand and dog still in my lap.

well ya got to sleep, it a much needed thing , after about 3 days the cats start to talk ,someone cooks breakfast but there is never nothing on the table and ya sure can smell the coffee and maple syrup too.glad we moved out of that house.....happy Easter all

Staying awake 24 or more hours use to b normal for me. Don't do it anymore, it's stupidity in my ocuaption.

It was a strawberry cake with white buttercreme and strawberry buttercreme filling. It had yellow and blue carnations that I made out of fondant.
I got about two hours sleep and then drove an hour to deliver the cake and set it up. I stayed for the wedding and to help clean up and I didn't really start getting sleepy until I started driving home.

I'd be glad to send you a piece but they ate it all at the wedding. But you are the perveman so maybe I could make a special one for you.
