Royal Wedding
I'm looking forward to it, it's nice to have a happy celebration going on. I've got in-laws already setting their DVR's for the big day.
Just love the whole story of the fashion show runway dress, and I'm anxious to see her wedding dress too.

Re: Royal Wedding
I just hope they have good weather for their Big Day! That way I can spend the day in the garden and avoid all the TV coverage completely.
If it weren't for the fact that it's been designated a Public Holiday, there would be complete apathy.

Crazy, I am far more excited than when Chelsea Clinton was married...the "Royals" share the event with everyone so it seems more spectacular and aristocratic...since Diana's death my heart has been with William and Harry in hoping they would find a mate who could help them live a happier life than their mother...

Re: Royal Wedding
I remember Diana's wedding. I worked at a bridal salon and my boss Dolores was sorely disappointed in Diana's dress. Watching recaps of that day is very sad, given the knowledge it was a loveless marriage with Charles.
I'm assuming some watched the Barbara Walter's Special last night. It stated Charles and Diana were only in each others company 13 times prior to the wedding. Also, what hit home is the Royal Family's ridiculous lifestyle. Thirty personal attendants to the Queen, 3 drivers, and someone to put toothpaste on your toothbrush?

Re: Royal Wedding
Yeah, Diana's wedding dress was kinda awful really, and as far as her sad marriage, she was so young. Who knows what kind of person she would have become or life she would have led if not for her having such circumstances to overcome. I am one of those that see her as an inspirational legend.
I don't mind the lifestyle so much, England's history of Monarchy goes back so far. I love history, I'm such a historywhore, so I see it from that POV.

Re: Royal Wedding
Have to say I won't be watching. I think Royal weddings get much more interest outside of the UK than inside. To me it's a free holiday, when added to our other Bank holiday means I only have to work 3 days next week.

Re: Royal Wedding
I'll just be catching a few highlights of it myself. Some of my in-laws plan on watching every minute, a couple of them don't care at all.
The T-mobile video was really pretty cute...the first time I saw it.

Youre right and I apologize for my insensitivity. I will be trying on Bridal Gowns for the rest of the week so that I can glue myself to the telly on that blessed day with a nice Earl Gray and a box of Kleenex.
(was that any better?)

I'm very worried about what you need the box of Kleenex for - no doubt they'll be showing the photo of her at the fashion show at uni (good to see the future Queen has nice legs and tits) but I don't think it's going to be such erotic viewing...

Re: Royal Wedding
there's SO much hype. anything to do with that wedding is bringing BIG $$$$. a pair of PEZ candy dispensers in the likeness of the Royal Couple fetched over $13,000 at an auction.

Re: Royal Wedding
They are young, they are beautiful and optimistic...dreams come true kind of stuff.
I've never experienced such bliss so believing in that sort of thing seems far fetched to me...no offense to the romantics but my love affair with high heels seems more realistic, I'd say my love life resembles more Diana's than Williams...
