Kinda down...
What do you do when you are feeling down...usually I am up and happy but I have been working a lot lately and haven't had time to recharge. What do you do when you need a boost in energy and attitude?

lately, i've been watching episodes of "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" on ABC Family channel, it's usually on right after work. it's so funny, no matter how crappy of a day i've had, i laugh so hard, it makes me feel better.

Spooky! I ran across that show the other night and I set my DVR to record it. Whoopi Goldberg was on it. Very funny show!

Do I look like a nice person? Most people think I am a nice person. I will tell you, when I was going thru a depressing time and couldn't get out of the house, WN and TV helped put a smile one my face.
I watched Tru TV shows, like Speeders, Most Dangerous, Most Shocking, and Operation Depo. Something about stupidty and violence just cracks me up sometimes.

When I'm down, i either pick up the guitar or take a stroll in the woods, & watch the wildlife. In 1991 when i was burned, i was probably at my lowest point, in so much pain, but when i saw that 5 yr old girl wheeled in on a gurney, burnt from head to toe, i realized there are people out there far worse off than me

I do what I did today actually. Hop in the car and just drive, anywhere avoiding main roads. Stopping now and then when I fancy it, but just music on - window down and driving

On rainy days when I'm down, I drive around until I see a cop and then run stop signs just to make them get out of their cars

One word that all the previous posts which are great contain is one element.....and that's distraction. Don't allow yourself to sit and dwell, or wallow in it because it will drag you down further, I know firsthand.....anything that is a distraction, and it can be literally anything will bring at least some if not a lot of relief, for how long it varies, but if it starts getting at you again...just find anything to do..all the best..

well there are lots of things you can do to bring a brief smile, go ahead, be a kid again... pull over on the side of the road & point your hairdryer out the window & see how many ppl hit their brakes, or when you get money from the ATM machine , jump up & down & yell "I WON, I WON!!"

This may sound odd, but smile at everyone. Huge big friendly smile! I find that when I least feel like smiling is when I need to do it the most.
The feedback you get from others, from making their day with a smile gives me a lift

One thing I love to do, when I can, is buy gifts. Not allot makes me happier than finding a special and meaningful gift for someone's birthday, baby shower, or holiday. Especially, if I know they can't afford it, they can use it, and will use it!!
It just totally clears my brain, and makes me happy and satisfied.

I distacted myself all weekend. Went for a run, cleaned house on Saturday...then on Sunday I helped a neighbor out, went to the movies and cooked a huge pan of lasagna and shared it with friends and neighbors. I hung out on my patio swing with a friend, a bottle of wine, and had a great conversation...

Awwwww, sleazy, you are so sweet BUT I just got a call from the police, they said my flowers were stolen out of someone's yard and that the suspect was naked except for a guitar...run dude, rrun, but put some pants on...
