Have you ever come across someone that looks like you? or .......
I have had a couple of off experiences happen to me and wonder how many others have had similar.
When I was a teenager I went to our house upstate NY as we did most weekends. We got there a bit later than normal and found a few friends upset with me. When I asked why I got the same answer from all of them. They had "seen" me earlier in the day and called me and I gave them the finger or blew them off. I thought that was really strange because I wasn't there for one thing. Later on that evening I ran into the person they all were calling when they saw her. She did look like me . It was really creepy how alike we looked. She was only there for the weekend and I never saw her again.
Years later I was told by a boyfriend that he was really pissed that I lied and blew him off to go to the beach. Again that was not the case. First off I am not real big on the beach and I also knew it wasn't the case. He then said then "How do you explain this?" and shows me a newspaper with a picture of a girl walking on the beach with some guy in a bathing suit that looked like mine and if I didn't know better I would swear it was a picture of me. Fortunately I was able to prove I was somewhere else. And the caption had someone elses name.
Ok the other thing that freaks me out is when I come across my name. I have a bit of an unusual name. I am 49 years old. I have a niece named after me, there was an American idol contestant with my name, there is one actress with my name and 2 other times I have come across it in my entire life.Now there is a person on here with my name. Again odd because most people don't use their actual name to go onto websites especially these types.Needless to say I was very surprised to see my name all over the web site.For some reason it makes me uncomfortable but don't really know why.
Does anyone else have an unusual name or spelling that finds it odd when they see things like this?

I was driving down main street Akron Colo one day, & i saw this guy on the sidewalk, it was like i was lookin in a morror, same face, hair, glasses. It was so unreal. I was lookin at him, & he was lookin at me, prolly he was freakin out too, poor bastard...lol

I'm waiting for the punch line, that NRG was looking at his own reflection.
I can't say I've seen my twin. I do feel, however, I must look very common. There have been many times people stop me and say I look just like someone they know. Sometimes they will pull out a picture. I guess all we brunettes look alike?
I will say, once I say someone who looked just like my little brother. It was in a mall, in 1983. He looked just like him. I saw him, then he disppeared. The thing is, my brother died in 1983, so it was a little shocking.

There's been people over the years tell me I look like someone they know.----I just tell 'em to tell thier friend I'm sorry but it's not my fault.

i had one once some folks came up to me and my girlfriend once , i think we were in dog and suds or a n w some were and start talking to me i never did and calling me a name that wasn't mine. then i have to say i think you got me at a disadvantage here I'm not that person.the wife on the other hand her and her cousin are carbon copy's, they came up to visit once and if it wasn't for the accent's they had the whole town confused

Chazzy there is someone that looks just like you on QVC. I have only seen this one picture of you so maybe if I saw others I wouldn't think so. But using this as the judge you have to check her out. She is one of the models on QVC. They use her a lot for makeup demo's. I think you might be smaller than her but the face sure makes me say it's you. I actually looked at where you were from when I saw her on there because I was curious if it could have been you although I doubted that you would be that public if that were you job.Anyway check her out.
The name thing is weird because now when I log on and see my name I almost have to remind myself that it's not me and look for my screen name and pass by my real name on the posts.lol It's a bit confusing sometimes when I see things and think... I did not say that how come it says I did?! oh yeah I didn't, that's someone else with my name.

Happens to me all the time... Just yesterday, my boss called me up on the Nextel to demand to know why I was standing outside an adult bookstore during what was suppose to be my lunch break. Trouble was I was in the lunch room at the time doing the crossword puzzle, and eating my lunch, no more than 10 feet from where he was calling...   (scared the crap out of him when I came out and up behind him while he read me the riot act)

I found another person with my name tonight but my first name is her last name. Now that is something I have never seen before. I went from never seeing my name to it being in my face a lot lately. Its kind of strange. I always liked that my name was unusual except for the fact that I could never get things with my name on it like other kids did unless I had it custom made.
The strange thing is I feel a little annoyed (Not really the right word but can't find one that fits) that someone is using MY name. How stupid is that!? I can't even imagine how people with very common names feel. Another kind of funny thing is my daughters name is common but spelled in a way that I have never seen except with her and tonight I saw someone with her name spelled the exact same way on the news. What is going on?
