I am such a geek. I've recently found re-runs of the old Batman and The Green Hornet TV shows from the 60's and I am in campy masked crime fighter heaven!

There isn't a DC or Marvel Universe character left that one of us doesn't know about lol. Pure lovely wonderful escapism from reality. Something I think everyone needs sometimes.
Actually just finished watching "Despicable Me" the movie, laughed so hard I cried and I now need an army of minions!!!!!!!!muahahah

After my brother's passing, my dad gave me his old comic books he had collected, "Daredevil" comics....Sweet, being vision impaired myself, pretty cool to see my brother collected comics about a blind superhero.

Being a child of the 60's, who didn't watch Batman. However, In 2003 when my dad was in the hospital recovering from a broken tibia, the Batman movie aired.
I could have almost shot myself. That was the absolute worse movie, ever. I did enjoy the series, though, and of course it had the most sensational villans!!!
The tried watching a couple episodes of the Green Hornet recently. You gotta love Bruce Lee. Again, I tried! I gave up after a couple of episodes. It was so slow.

I have a few Graphic Novels, but not many as it becomes a consuming habit if you are not careful
I like the superhero genre of TV and Movie, when done well it lifts the spirits.

Seems the batcave is in a wodded area somwehere behind Wayne Manor. Gotham of course is NYC.
Now, what I wonder is Wayne Manor really the Biltmore Estate by Ashville,NC? Batcave, NC is a few miles behind it. [google batcave,nc]

And ya gotta admit, Bat Girl, Cat Woman (Julie Newmar) and that EVIL moll played by Jill St John were all hot!
And I'm only talking about the TV show. When it got to the movies, there were no better camel toes (or was it pussy feet?) than Cat Woman played by Michelle Pfieffer ot Halle Barry?
ps, I dont even know what pussy feet means, but I think you guys get it

Batman has been written as an emotionally damaged vigilante and as a coulouful friendly extension to the police force. Maybe it is because I like a bad boy, but I prefer the later incarnations with the dark suits and the brooding eyes
and don't even ask about my Wolverine fantasy....

I'm with you Josie. When I look at the show and see him he seems like a wimp. I like the darker version. I also think the guys that would play him now would have to be in much better shape and the costumes would be much better as they were in the movies. OK ,but you have to laugh at the word bubbles during the fights and the choreographed fights were SO bad.
They say that Adam West was quit a pig while he was on that show. I think he even wrote about it himself.I'm sure if the stories that have been told are true and it was in our day he would have been slammed with multiple sexual harassment suits. But how cool is it that so many big names played characters on that show.
You should do a trivia game to see who can name the most characters names with their real names from that show.lol

Wanna see something really funny?! Watch the first episode of Adam West's Batman- Enter "Shane". Adam was too comfortable in the role by then that he gained almost 30 pounds. There's a scene where Batman runs through the western town. His gut in that tight gray leotard shows it bouncing up and down. He runs really funny too, too heavy on the arm movement...

One of the original Bat mobiles is owned by a guy around here. It's at every event. parade etc... I think there are 2 or 3 total cars. I will grab a picture the next time and post it. I think he is at one of the events my oldest son is having in a couple months. I bet he will be at the St Pat's parade I will ask my other son to grab a picture of it if he can.(He might work security then he can't go around taking pictures.lol)
They have the one from one of the movies at Six Flags Great Adventure. I like that one better.I might have a picture of that.By the way the Batman Ride is great but I went on it the first time when I was pregnant with my daughter (I didn't know yet) Can you say "Holly Barf Batman!" Well at least I wanted too...
