Re: bed bugs
Yea saw a show on the tele' about it. Winter is the worst time of year for infestations. That's when people think they are least likely to have it happen to them, bringing them home from vacation I mean. A tip for dealing with these little buggers; don't unpack your stuff immediately after returning from a trip. Get a change of clothes from the cupboard and head directly to the laundry-room. Wash not only the dirty clothes in your bag, but also the clean ones too. Wash your coat, and the clothes you have on as well. If we all did this, bed bugs wouldn't be a problem anymore...

Re: bed bugs
These are disgusting things . The towns all have town meeting about them. I know you have to even wash something right away if you bought it in a store in case the store has an infestation. I itch just thinking about them. YUK! I saw a report that in NY city you get a special bag some are giving out some are selling at the movie theaters to cover your seats. They tell you don't put your pocket book on the ground. Yeah I want to pay $20 for a movie ticket then deal with that. Just add the other things creeping around ....OK I don't want to think about that. The other big issue we are having at least here in NJ is Stink bugs. A huge issue and you can't kill them or they do stink. And some bug that's killing our trees in about two weeks. I just had that happen to a Huge pine tree that is now completely bare!

Re: bed bugs
Seems like the bugs are just taking over. They said that the bed bugs in NY are mutating and are 25% stronger than others tested, so more resistant to standard methods. The stink bugs I know are all over the schools. I always tell my kids to try to check there coats and bags so they don't bring them home. I know the bedbugs they say are really an issue at airports and they feel that's how most are being spread. Roaches are a whole different story. I don't know if they can be killed. I would never live in Manhattan for that and rats alone. They are everywhere and they have tried everything but can't get rid of them YUK! Even the very wealthy have them so money can't buy you everything, or maybe can't get rid of everything.
