dirty keyboards
i must have the dirtyest keyboard on the net need some windex and towels to clean this up, my son would just freak....

Did it used to be white? If not, I can top yours as the dirtiest. The one I have at work, is truly dirty. I cleaned it sometime around Christmas and now it's getting hard to make out the letters and numbers...

Oh and by the way, when you clean it, unplug it from the computer first. Certain combinations of keystrokes can lock up te computer or worse. Unplugging it just saves you unnecessary grief later...

cool , i clean it when powered off , cat hair is the worst and crumbs and sesame seed and popie...  once i had a big ole plop of ice cream in it, my son once had a keyboard with all the letters wore off better know your typing on that one.

I hate cleanng hub's desk, his keyboard is always full of ashes, dust and grime....a real disgusting mess.

The cans of compressed air work really well. Just go back and forth and at as many angles as possible. 
Oh, if ya keep it clean, it may work more betterer.

i got the wife's cig tobacco from her rolling machine, then dont need caned airs , that stuffs like freeze mist costly, i got a air hose with 90lbs backing it up, that makes stuff fly , even the buttons , i have to pop them all out and wipe around in there with a qtips or two. the balk of it is cig tobacco crumbs and cat hair i got lots of that ....

Just a thought here but haven't you guys ever heard you shouldn't eat, smoke, drink and we know what else you guys do over your keyboard?lol
They do make keyboard covers. And if the keyboard is really bad you can pop off the keys. If yours is difficult there is a tool to help take the keys off without breaking them so don't force them off.They even make little vacuums for keyboards.

had a few close calls with wiski drinks , but i shovrd the draw in and missed but not the floorand for key poping i use a butter knife.you know us guys if we dont have the right tool we will find one that works....

Resourceful but if done wrong can break a key. Guess how I know. lol I was in a hurry and tried to rush. It's really annoying when 1 key is missing on the keyboard. Fortunately I have a new computer now.

I worked with a girl who was a bit of an airhead. She dumped a whole glass of orange juice on her keyboard at work. She looked it me. Maybe if she was paying attention to what she was doing.
I think she just changed out the keyboard rather than letting anyone know. I just love honesty and integrity. Wish I could find some.

One guy I worked with, at an old job, I hated so much. He used to steal my keyboard and switch it with his. I fixed his illiterate thievery one time when I moved the keys around on my keyboard. I moved only the ones he used to write his name and switched them with random ones. He had the most hard time spelling his own name...  (Why does it type, "O" when hit the "P" key?)

Oh that is great. I hope you don't mind if I steal that idea!! And those people thought they were good by stealing all the "W's" from the White House computers when George W Bush was coming in. This is so much better.
