Photo positive
It's been awhile since we've done this one and hey, it may influence and encourage some to upload more photos, then we all win.
Take a break from the photo dissing and tell me about any photos you've seen here lately that you really liked or grabbed your attention while browsing around.
I just love Alexdrovna's....her headline says "looking for fun" and her main photo expresses that very well, it's just a fun photo with good composition.

Grandelf. He get's really creative tweeking pics. Won't get any negetive comments from me here, ever. Just how I roll. Too many other great one's here, but I'll hold off, as I get going, can't shut me up. I may have to have a separate forum, just so other's can get a word in edge-wise.

Grandelf is definitely my all time favorite . Mostly because he plays with effects and his personality is all through his profile and his pictures.That's key. You don't have to be the best photographer just make it about you.
Josie is really great at showing her fun and sexy side as well.
Freensleezy as well. There is no doubt he loves music when you see his pictures its just part of him. But again you see his sexy fun side as well.
Wanderingstar5. He has a great sense of humor and makes people laugh all the time with his remarks. I think that is a big part of him so its a perfect profile picture for him
Of course LNH. He changes all the time. I think that is him. He has many parts to him.. He is definitely not 1 dimensional and his pictures reflect his mood or whats going on in his life sometimes. So I like that. I will think of a few more I'm sure.

I have a confession here and that is that I rarely look at people's profiles!!! I know I am bad. I just like to chat to people in the rooms or by mail and rarely even check their profile then, unless asked to.
So can't comment much, but will say a hurrah to Liberalwife and Hotbubblegum (I know I may be biased towards the Brits here, but knowing them I think their profiles are spot on

Josie you are like me in that sense I don't normally just browse through profiles and many times I don't look at a profile for weeks or even months with people. There are times when someone will ask me to look at their profile and that can make me cringe big time.I am sometimes to honest for people to handle. But if something about a person seems particularly interesting I will look at the profile. OK, sometimes if they seem like a total freak I will as well (Yes, that's how I met most of you wonderful freaks I now can refer to as friends LOL). Creativity will spark my interest to look as well. So a great intro email or forum remark does wonders.Although Kam has almost nothing on his profile he writes amazing emails as well as stories.There are many ways to catch attention is the lesson I hope some people take aways from forums like this.

Just go to Atlantic City instead of the lottery. Some guy (A local teacher.) Just won over 4 million dollars in the penny slot machine while he was off from work for a snow day yesterday. The guy that won before him on that slot also several million was from Staten Island. I said OK So if you are from where I lived you go to AC and become a millionaire on penny slots except if your me? I want to drop my pants and moon them too.

Well as far as liking my photos, I just try to make them different in some way...I have had a couple pulled that might have been considered abstract or something, I don't know, I guess if all my photos were abstract in nature that would make more sense, anyway....no matter. Thanks for the kind words! I enjoy photography a lot and take many outdoor photos, etc. I guess thats why I sometimes will go sepia, or with a reflection....something with imagination I guess. Playing music is a creative outlet and photography can be no different...bottom line is have fun without hurting anyone I guess?

The main point I think is everyone can and should try to show a part of them on these sites. If your way of doing it is through your pictures great. Some people suck at that but can write as if they were born with a pen in their hand. Others it's their humor.I can enjoy a person as a friend when they are being them-self even if they aren't exactly my type. I find people that are very dishonest on line usually don't stick around to long because people catch on quick.As far as creative pictures maybe there is a way to have those posted as long as the powers at be know they are CREATIVE and not necessary meant to be a perfect picture and it has intentionally been tampered with.Something we can ask for ?

Well I thought of that as there is a writers corner...there could possibly be a "creative corner" or something like that..where ones passion for whatever artform they have can be shared. Because I agree, you can tell much by seeing what people create, there creativity can speak volumes about their personality... No matter the method, it's very interesting, I admire those that paint well, in awe of the talent I see, again in all different ways....Song writers, I am so envious of them..poetry yet add music to it. I've read some lyrics that blew my mind, to think someone actually sat there, and this masterpiece comes to them. Paul Simon, Bridge over Troubled Water"...the lyrics..I have sat thinking, he thought that up...that's but one of countless examples...

We had quite a few artist here years ago, who wanted a gallery for their work. As much as I loved their work (and love to draw, paint, etc myself) it's not gonna work on this site, people want to see photos of other people and not artwork, not even erotic artwork.
I do appreciate the artsy photos of members and speaking of that, "artful1"....one of the first original member, has a profile full of really great artsy photos.
Doodes, don't hesitate to check out this guy's profiles, he's got some fantastic hetero stuff on there.

A "gallery" is one thing, a single photo, or even two in ones profile seems as it should be fine, as long as it isn't way off topic. I had a photo of myself standing naked behind my guitar. I then took it and neoned it for lack of a better term, so the subject matter was no less than the genitalia photos without a face to place with them. The two are the same in that they reveal little about the actual person. In fact just my opinion, but the occasional art styled photo reveals more about the person as it reflects passion, creativity, a brain and so on. To be here to display art with that being the goal isn't right as that's not what we are about here. Again, just my opinion, never do I believe what I think is to be totally correct, on the contrary...I have shared thoughts such as this which is healthy, and great as I see it, and in doing so got to see things from an angle perhaps I hadn't thought of. And I love that! To agree to disagree is a key element in any form of relationship if that bond is to remain. I have photo's of just guitars, old barns, rivers, forest, people...with no intent on placing them here so I hope I am not misunderstood. These are thoughts, my thoughts...nothing more. (whew when one types like a gorilla as I do, one gets worn out, I need a cup -o -java!

I did look at "artful1". He has beautiful pictures on his profile. They are definitely art. ( Was thinking. I wonder if he has a talent release for those?) I know there are so many people that think any photos , paintings, film, sculpture etc...with naked people in them are pornography. I don't understand those people. Looking at photos like Grandelf or artful1 and many others are art in every sense of the word. Just as some of the many writers out there write as if it comes from deep inside them somewhere. I get that art is subjective and you don't have to like it but you can still appreciate it. I might not be the biggest fan of opera but I sure do appreciate the talent and beauty in it. I challenge everyone to just go look at something in the art world, listen to something or read something that you wouldn't normally. You just might find something new that you have never expected to enjoy.It's like tasting a new yummy dessert.
