Re: Personal announcement
Hubs is home, seems to be doing pretty good. The poor newborn though, has to endure some horrible testing and of course the parents are frazzled.

Re: Personal announcement
Yeah, for sure....my family, we're "clump people"
When things happen, it happens in clumps.
Won't know more about the baby till this coming week.
Hubs is doing fine, considering he's a terrible manbaby when it comes to pain. He has an extremely low tolerance to pain.
Dad is at the age now that any surgery is very worrisome.

Re: Personal announcement
I know how difficult it is to have a child go through things. My daughter was born with a heart defect that required open heart surgery as a young child. It's a feeling that can't be described and can't be imagined unless you as a family go through it. Fortunately we were extremely fortunate and my daughter is great and has no further issues. But at the time you almost feel like you are on another planet. Just focus on the important things and support each other. That's all you can do.I'm sure you have researched and found good doctors, now you have to have faith in them. For me I found that educating myself and learning everything about what she had to go through and all the steps of the process helped me. I felt more prepared as to what to do for her. Maybe that is something that will help you and your family. I know the helpless part is what drives me crazy so I had to find someway to be a part of helping her. Also giving yourself permission to be angry and sad. Most of us feel we have no right to do that. BUT YOU DO. Just keep It in perspective and don't let the sadness and anger take over.

Re: Personal announcement
I'm sure the baby will be fine, hope to know more today. Just such a shame that a newborn has to endure the horrible painful tests, not a good way to enter the world.
We've got a serious ice storm moving in this week, so Dad's surgery will be postponed for a bit. I hope not too long.

Re: Personal announcement
The baby was released from the hospital and is home with his parents now...he seems to be doing well.
Hubs surgery still has him in allot of pain, but he'll be turning the corner soon we hope.
Still have my hands quite full, but I'll be back online more frequently soon.
Miss and love ya'all!

Re: Personal announcement
Baby is still doing fine, pink and healthy now, we're all breathing easier about that.
Hubs is healing quickly, of course....I'm sure some of you women know what's its like having your man underfoot 24/7.
Every night I go to sleep with a clean house, every morning I wake to total destruction...especially the kitchen!
Sorry I'm still a little slow with my mail replies. I'm reading everything, just a little behind in replies.
I'm sorry I missed Valentines Day here, we usually do allot of really fun threads and forum games during the week of this holiday.

Re: Personal announcement
Dad's surgery has been set back when the winter storm hit, now the weather is 'tastic...sunny, in the 60s, so waiting for it all to be rescheduled.
Dad is amazing, John Wayne tough ya know...but his advancing age is a sad reality.
