this bugs the shit out of me.is that from ten years ago? call me crazy I just like a current pic and not of another one.

I will send an old pic at times but ALWAYS SAY I WAS __ age at the time it was taken. Otherwise its a current pic. But this seems to be the common statement in several threads lately. You can normally tell if its old as stated in other threads Hair styles, makeup, clothing and other things are normally a give away.

Doesn't really bother me that much, I use to change mine more often, but I like to remain anonymous as possible, and not post graphic photos of any particular body part or two.
I don't plan on changing my profile any time real soon, maybe later I'm sure I will, but right now...it's representative of who I am, allows me the privacy and anonymity I need, and suits my purpose just fine.
Quite a few of the very first original members here who are still active, have the same profile and photo they have always had, and this site went online in 2003. It just doesn't bother me that much.
Some photos are more like avatar creations than actual photos anyway.
I wouldn't get close or meet up with someone without us both exchanging current photos, or face time on cam.

I should be more specific..I dont mind one or two....but when all are vastly different and no current pic.

I understand why some don't post pictures that can identify them.I wont. I also understand why people feel uncomfortable about posting pictures if they are not happy with how they look or are afraid of the reaction. Lets get real there are many times the reaction has not been good when someone finds out the other person is not how they pictured. I have seen it happen and it can get ugly.But then I think you shouldn't send any or at least say I wont send a current or that I wont send something that can identify me. I think its a real issue that you don't know who you are talking to and there is some risk. I only send face pictures or live cam with people I feel VERY comfortable with.It isn't always a lie to be deceptive issue.The issue can be anything from self esteem to safety.

I used to have a photo up of when I was 18 (I'm about to turn 28 now), I'm sure some of you remember it. It was a photo of me hanging from a rippled stone wall in a kinda weird Spiderman pose. The only reason why I ever included it despite my obvious youthful appearance was the fact that I still have that somewhat youthful mentality of just doing whatever I want if I am capable of it.
