bad meat
yesterday we cooked up a chuck roast that was 3 inches thick and must of been 6 lbs, and was vacuum packed , all inspected and such but after awhile of cooking i came in and it smelt rancid and the wife said it tasted like fish and i thought it tasted funny too. so we threw the whole thing in the trash, the taters and carrots, the whole works.i got salmonella before form a pack of brats we took camping never again.but the thing was there was no date and it came from a packing plant and no date on it. then this roast was giving for Christmas's dinner! I'm glad we made turkey.then we had another older couple bring use abunch of food and stuff 3 doz brown eggs , two big ole leghorns , might of been the ones that laid the eggs lol. and a big box of dry goods too. i even quizzed them on who the got our address's and couldn't get it out of them. but they did tell me to save egg cartons and take them to the library. we did donate a box if movies to them and plactic cases too

and it seems there is almost aways something in the paper about people getting sick or meat recalls

Re: bad meat
The leaves of the potatoe are definitly poisonous, it's the same toxin in the leaves that can make you sick if your potatoes are green beneath the skin. It's a pretty bad sick, even if you peel the potatoes and boil the livin' crap outta them, still make you sick.

Re: bad meat
wow didn't know that and we even grow them , i even seen green under the russets when peeling them , but i think Idaho are the best, had a gal she gave us 3 bags of them red salad ta tors, some are so small all they are good for are seeds , i tried grating them peels and all for hash browns ya could taste the peels, even have a Friend Fry's them up with eggs for breakfast... but for me peels belong in the com poster lol
