Favorite Source of News
Where do you prefer to get your news? Online? Radio? Newspaper? News mags? Network TV? Cable Stations? Or do you not give a rats ass unless something catastrophic happens? And do you ever listen to talk radio?
I flip on Good Morning America in the morning, mostly because of the cuts to the local station that I prefer on the half hour marks, mostly because of the weather. Also, the current class of anchors on GMA seems to do more reporting of the actual stories rather than interjecting their personal or Network opinions. Not that they're totally innocent, but they're not as bad as some others. Other than that, I pretty much have Fox News on until 5 pm when I cant take the repetition any more and flip on Cheers re-runs.
When I was traveling for work, far more than I do now, I would always have talk radio on, but I never listen to it unless I'm in the car. When I am driving, its only talk radio. Except weekends, then its all music.
Im pretty sure I asked something like this before, but we have a whole lot of new folks around here now.

Re: Favorite Source of News
I never listen to "mainstream", cbs, nbc, abc, to hear what I believe to be government news propaganda, (just one mans opion), rather to hear various radio talk shows, where real research has taken place, and not just scripted for, and read by a tv anchor, by the powers to be. Sorry to be so vague. Do not intend to offend anyone either. Again, just my educated opinion, due to listening, instead of running my mouth like it seems I do here. NEXT!

I'm English so it's the BBC for me darling one!
Have it on-line at work, catch it on TV when at home, but when I am driving it's just music or audio comedy tracks for me

Re: Favorite Source of News
i usually don't really pay much attention to the new, other than the local weather and local sports teams. when i do watch the news, it's usually a local tv station. generally a CBS affiliate, or the local ABC station on occasion.
i hear most of my news "word of mouth" and if it's of interest to me, i will look it up, or if i am home, i'll try catching it on the news. or i may catch a headline on my Yahoo page.

Re: Favorite Source of News
Don't have a prefered source for this. Some is tv, some am/fm, some online. Out of th tv source, I prefer BBC, Nightly Business Report and Mc Niel/Lerer News Hour. These don't seem as biased one way or the other.
as far as the "mainstream" news organizations, they all slant and editorialize the news so it's more of a statement then telling the facts.

Re: Favorite Source of News
I've been listening a lot lately to; Beck, Limbaugh, and Hannity. I those guys to be most informative in our current situation. Most of the news on TV is completely bias in fav of the guy who holds the country hostage. So I don't tend to take stock in anything they have to say...about anything.

Re: Favorite Source of News
Having family and friends in the media I know that's you certainly can't believe what you hear or read in the news. It is always slanted to what gets the better ratings and or what that channel/station/paper supports. I like to get my news from all over and apply some common sense in the end. Blogs and shows like John Stewart's are always good because at least they can add some comedy to the insanity.
