oops
Well, I went to Sioux Falls this morning to get some truck parts. left home about 7. Drove very carefully across town and got on the I road south. Only drove at 50 mph as the road wasn't that great, plus the wind was blowing snow so it was difficult to see. After 30 miles or so, ,the road seemed to be better so, I speeded up to 60. After about anoother 25 miles, the jeep decided to go sideways. I did try to correct it and thought I had saved it once. it was just after that it decided to spin completely around into the ditch.
I was surprized that people stopped to ask if I was ok. I was. More embarassed than anything. Had to get tow truck to get me out. I should have shoveled snow away from tires before trying to move it.---lol
What happened? I figure that I got onto the joint between the shoulder and road. I over corrected and that started it. I also should have maintained my 50 mph and not had the cruise on. Another thing is me not being all that familiar with the vehicle. I've put under 5000 miles onm it in a little over a year.
Well, now I know.

Re: oops
most people will stop when they see something like that happen. i think it's a state law here, if you see an accident happen, and don't stop, you could be in trouble. if you are the first upon the scene. just be glad that you are ok, and that you didn't do much damage to the Jeep.

Re: oops
Jeep didn't get hurt and I'm very thankful I didn't collect anyone else. I don't worrry about hurting myself. This is one reason I try to keep by myself when driving.

That's not good. Always wear seatbelt in car [jeep] and NEVER drive after drinking. I should have known better. I completely misread read conditions. It had a rather heavy frost on it. I'm kind of thankful for that, had it caught while sideways it could have rolled. Of course, had it not been slick, it wouldn't have happened anyways.---lol

Re: oops
No reason to be embarrassed accidents happen . We can't always judge everything correctly we are human and to many variables. Just glad you didn't get hurt or anyone else and that your jeep is still functioning so its all good.Being that I am permanently injured from a car accident that had nothing to do with anything other than a air bag going off for no reason I can tell you it sucks getting hurt in an accident and realizing how something that took a few seconds can change your hole life forever. It's nice to know people care enough to stop and help . Just when you think the world has become a cold selfish place people prove you wrong. Isn't it great.

No, but perhaps I should have been going by what SOME people think.
