i hate winter
Winter doesn't even officially begin until Dec. 21st (tomorrow), and we've already had 36+" of snow, and it's snowing right now...supposed to get 7"-10" (a good measurement for some things  , but not a single snowfall...) if it's now snowing, it's fucking cold...  yesterday was the first day with temps above +10 degrees Fahrenheit in nearly a month.

Unless I'm in front of a nice fire with the man I love wrapped around me I agree with you.I hate being cold and always have to worry about my kids driving in that crazy weather. Then of course the wonderful fact that it costs a fortune to keep the house even half way warm is also a bonus to the cold weather. There is one thing I love about about winter. I love boots and I get to wear them all winter. But I can deal with summer and sandals very nicely.

Awww, ya'all know I love every season, and I do love winter, even though I'm the one who does all the hard labor of keeping our Ben Franklin clean and safe, I do all the ash hauling, stove cleaning, chimney sweeping, kindling gathered, and the firewood hauled and stacked. I'm also the one to shovel and clear off the side walk and driveway; Yep, I do have a bit of a backache lately! but I love getting out at least once a day to do these chores.
Can't imagine a holiday without a cold,cold wind, and snow.

I was just thinking how lucky I am to have 3 kids that do all the shoveling , ice chopping and all the crap that comes with the cold. If I had Chazzy's list of chores I would be back in the hospital. As it is I feel like a hibernating bear most of the winter.I keep asking the doctor to write a prescription to send me to a warm climate. I'm thinking spending the winter in Cozumel Mexico sounds real nice.

I have an aneursym, and I have a very high risk of a major stroke. (I've had the micro/mini strokes the past few years)
I have to be very, so very aware to function every day and do the things I do.

can't wait to see how bad the floods will be next spring, what with the river already being higher than usual, due to the heavy rainfall we had last fall....
