What kind of new things have you bought or are considering? And if you have bought it, what did ya think?
The Shark Mop?
A Wireless Printer?
That new scanner that clears up paperwork clutter?
One of those robot vacuums?
A battery powered car?
Plutonium?
I'm just wondering. Some of the things you see advertised seem to good to be true. Inquiring minds want to know.

It's hard to decide when to go for new technology. I'm still waiting to see whether VHS or BetaMax will become the preferred video format.
My advice for L&H is to wait for 3D TV...

If you can get a shark to mop, go for it.
What you mean it works without wires?
that's not a scanner that clears up poaper work.---It's a papershredder.
Battery powered car? They all are. What you think makes 'em start?
Plutomium? Are you gonna go to Pluto and get it for me?

My advice for L&H is to wait for 3D TV... when they come out with a 3-D TV that doesn't require glasses, then i might consider it. what happens if you have a party, and have more people than 3-D glasses? does each person get to watch a portion of he show, and pass them to the next after 5 minutes? lol

Re: Rate New Products
They actually do have 3D TVs that don't require glasses, but they typically are just small screens as you have to be sitting dead center for them to work. They're based off the old Lexicon technology for those 3D cards, but are otherwise the same thing as the glasses.
For those interested, the way the glasses version works is an optical illusion. The glasses have little shutters in them that block out all light from one lens while the other one is left open. They keep switching which lens is blocked out at such a fast pace that your eyes can't see the lack of light. This creates a very temporary blind spot for your entire eye (much like what naturally exists in just a small section, but we don't see it because the brain fills in the area with the surrounding information). Our brain then takes the information from the other eye and fills in the blind eye's information, since its such a short time period. Because of this optical illusion, the brain takes the flat double image, and makes us see it in a 3D image.
Overall, I don't really care about this 3D technology as it is now, and not just because of the glasses. when you look at the image, its not really 3D, as each 'layer' of the image still looks flat, you just are able to see one layer as being in front of another. Its basically akin to a cardboard cutout of the scene, where the cardboard cutouts move around...

Re: Rate New Products
I bought a steam mop,,not the shark but it works pretty well.I like not needing a mop pail and rinsing it out constantly. It cleans good, but when pad gets full of grim it leaves streaks.
I just bought a 32" lcd hdtv for myself for christmas.I love it the picture is nice and I can change the screen,to full screen when you have those annoying black bar on top and bottom.
I bought a fuel doctor to save fuel on my car,not worth it at all.don't bother

Re: Rate New Products
They keep advertising Winning Lottery tickets of all types I have tried them all the old ones and the new ones. None of them ever win. I asked for my money back but they said it doesn't come with a money back guarantee.I think its false advertising and am thinking of reporting them to the authorities.
