It Was 30 Years Ago Today..
That John Winston Ono Lennon, former Beatle, husband of Yoko Ono, father of Julian and Sean Ono Lennon was gunned down in front of The Dakota after returning home from a recording session, by Mark David Chapman. Police that arrived on the scene decided his condition was too grave to wait for an ambulance and elected to take Mr. Lennon to the hospital in the backseat of a patrol car. Doctors worked feverishly to revive him, but with no success. He was declared dead on arrival.
A sad, sad day for the world.

Re: It Was 30 Years Ago Today..
I can't believe it has been thirty years. My brother was there when it happened. He called me and I remember he was crying. I never thought my brother would cry over a celebrity that's not our thing in our family because celebrities are an ever day occurrence, but I remember what he said. He said "Someone just killed John Lennon. This world is a crazy scary place when a man that did nothing except want peace gets killed so violently. We just lost a man that made such a difference to so many people. It's really sad, I feel like I just lost a friend."
