Empathy
I had a day at work that couldnt get any closer to being in hell without kicking the bucket. I know that everyone has bad days but I read something the other day that really hit home with me. In order for me to get "activated" at work someone else is having a crisis.Devistation is my life most days. Some days its very very rewarding but I usually only get called upon when the shit hits the fan.Dont get me wrong..I love what I do...some days I just need a little pat on the back and a"it's gonna be ok" from someone.Know what I mean?

Re: Empathy
It's only a job...Not the whole of your life..Do It ,get paid...and the best part is that you get to go home...

Re: Empathy
Hey, with a husband who works in an operating theatre I know what you talking about. He has often said how odd it feels that he only has an exciting day at work when things have gone very wrong for others.
As I say to him and you, it takes a special type of person to deal effectively with that sort of pressure and I for one am grateful you guys exist. Take this as a pat on the back from both of us xx
