Clean language
What words do you use, like darn it, dang it, frick, fudge, when you are in a place or situation where the more vulgar swear words are inappropriate?

Re: Clean language
It's all or nothing for me. When inappropriate I just don't swear or replace the words with anything else.

I absolutely love when people can swear creatively ...never have heard that Great Caesars Ghost thing before!
(Which reminds me, I love that Gieco commercial, with the ex-drill sargeant therapist....go on over to Mambypampyville and get some self esteem ya jackwagon!!!)

Re: Clean language
haha
When I am in Australia I simply use Chinese swear words.
Here in China I can get away with any and all of 'em in English! (except in my class, as my teenage students know and use the F word)
And when I REALLY want to let some Chinese person have it, well I have the right words in Chinese for them!

Great Caesars Ghost actually originated from the old black& white episodes of Superman...Perry White used the phrase a lot and I picked it up from watching the show...

Re: Clean language
I use 'farden' lol, it's out of a book I read...and I have used 'frakkin' as well as shoot, darn, dang it, even the occasional dagnabbit...
I read or heard somewhere once that it is a mark of an unintelligent person to only use true curse words...I try to take that to heart..but sometimes, or if I'm really stressed they do slip out...

Re: Clean language
Dang! Shoot, and crap. I almost never use vulgarity. I must be in a horrible rage for it to happen and the older I get, the less that happens....
