Great Weekend
Friday? Please come back!
I had a pretty good weekend and I hope you all did too. Did an "Early Thanksgiving" so that other family members can be with who they need to be with on the actual Holiday, while not missing others. It always goes that way as families grow. Obligations change, and so do some traditions. Theres really no point to this thread. I just hope you guys are all doing well!

We do the same thing, have our Holidays at different times so we can all be together one way or another.

luckily for me, my kids and most of my family live here, so for Holidays, the kids come with me for lunch, and their mom takes them for supper. on Christmas, they alternate, one year Christmas eve with me, the next year Christmas Day.

Same here, My Christmas starts on 19th December when I do a Hog Roast for my Friends with Kids and carries on till New Years when I finish off with having a late Christmas with my Niece and Nephew.
I love a month of Christmas

I'll start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. It's a beautiful ritual for me, I go out to the country and cut fresh cedar boughs and branches. I use allot of cedar, red bows, and angel statues on my big front porch, some fluffy afghans, coverlets for the swing and glider, nice candles, and that wonderful cedar scent.
Doing up my front porch for Christmas is just a very pleasant way for me to spend an entire day. It makes me happy.

this year, i'm gonna try my hand at decorating my house and front yard. this is the first time in many years that i've actually lived in a house instead of an apartment.
