How many is to many?
You meet a new person. You really like that person and start dating. Do you ask how many sex partners that person has had in their life? Does it matter? If so how many is to many? Does it mater if that person is gay , straight, bi ,etc..? What about if that person changed and now is much more conservative? Does it matter? Does it matter if that person has much more experienced than you? (I wonder if men and women will have very different views on this)

I'd think that if you're already dating, you'd have gone thru the sexual orientation, thier political views and other basic stuff.
If your at the dating stage, you may want to ask----"bet ya can't eat just one".

Well, there is merit behind the question... If I got an answer of around 500, I'd probably be concerned that she has some kind of STD that I wouldn't want...

i agree with Moo. the more he/she's been with, the higher the risk of STD'S. and it's kinda intimidating to be with some one that's had more than a few partner, for those of us that haven't had many. i mean, i might not be as good as she expects.

I've never really known the answer to this. The most one of my partners has ever said is around a dozen which was fine with me.
I guess for me in a way in matters more why there were a lot if there were a lot. Experimentation is one thing, but a conquest list is offputting.
So very unhelpful answer from me is.....depends on the individual and the situation

Too many for me would have to be going on a date where just about every guy in the neighborhood knows her by name. She later tells you that she slept with every guy she's ever known. Just then you realize why she's so popular...

Its hard to answer honestly without actually being put on the spot. I can't give you am honest answer. If he/she had sex w/everyone they met, I'd likely have a problem. If they have a disease and only had sex w/one I'd have a problem dealing with that too. Both situations can be overcome, but your expectations change.

Where have you been? Do you think people who are having sex are actually dating? That they actually talk? Or, might tell the truth!
It would also depend on your area, if everyone knew your name. Or, if you lived in a large city and traveled for sex. My gf was fucking like six guys at one time, and yet I was the one who took her to dinner for her birthday.
Finally, I knew a guy and I'm not really sure he knows how many he has slept with. Somehow, he does not have aids or any STD's. He does have cancer. But, for L&H.... for all the women he has slept with, he certainly was not the best lay I've ever had. Now he is older, he doesn't even have the stamina he once had.

Me? I've been all over. I didn't say that people had to date to have sex . I said if they are dating, then they problably talked about all this already. Even in this world, there's a difference between a date and a hookup/ fuckbud.

All kidding aside, I have a friend that met someone on a so called normal dating site. He was well spoken, dressed to the hilt, very clean cut looking. She assumed he was a safe date, Lo and behold he gave her a disease from unprotected sex.

Ditto. My gf started to date a guy we went to school with, after our 20 year class reunion. He was not quick to tell her he had herpes. He contradicted it from a girl he had dated prior. He too is clean cut, and good looking. I saw him recently at our 30th class reunion. He is now happily married with a six year old daughter.
My brother also dated a girl with some type of STD. She was a tennis pro, as is he.
And, how many guys here can say they responsibly use condoms? I've heard it from everyone, and no one likes them.
