What is Halloween to you?
OK Everyone "All Hallows Eve" is almost here so lets see what Halloween means to everyone. Well for me it is the celebration of my past relatives and there once a year visit as celebrated by my Scottish heritage. Us Pagans (Celts) believe that our passed relatives keep watch over us throughout the year and it is out time to celebrate and honor them. So dressing up in masks of woodland creatures and spirits folk and running naked around bond fires goes back a long way in my family. What about your Halloween celebrations?

Re: What is Halloween to you?
I can picture my relatives drunk around a bonfire. Probably would be plotting to mug some Trick or Treater candy bag.
Those damn devils..

Ah yeah, we miss Candy (curiousgirl), she moved across the country, got busy with a new life, she logged in a few times after that, I still think about her from time to time.

Re: What is Halloween to you?
Yelling at the kids to rake the front of the house so the trick or treaters don't kill themselves trying to get to the door.
Weeks of hearing everyone talk about what they are going to do for their float in the parade. Also everyone trying to figure out what day the kids go trick or treating in each of the local towns around here. (Most don't trick or treat the day of the parade around here.) And of course the arguments about the costumes and then the candy and the curfew the town puts in effect. OK this was supposed to fun right?
I just know when its all over we still have them playing the parade for weeks after on local TV and then everyone fights over if the people that won the contests deserved it. Then they start planing for next year.
I can't wait for Thanksgiving by the time its all over!

Re: What is Halloween to you?
I love Halloween, such a fun holiday. I like the Day of The Dead holiday too, honoring the ancestors and all that.
