well what's the best and worst of Halloween candy
was reading on what was good and what was bad for candy and such , seems everyone like the sample size candy bars and frowns on the homemade stuff some even liked pop tarts and hot coco mix and the stuff in the black and Orange papers are just plain nasty....no popcorn balls and no cookies, no gum too

Re: well what's the best and worst of Halloween candy
I think the homemade stuff is good, but I guess people don't know their neighbors as well as they did in previous decades, and are cautious about the kitchen these treats come from. The individual wrapped stuff is probably just seen as safer and more sanitary?
My Dad, just loves the old fashioned candy, he loves candy corn. I have to buy candy for him from the farm and home store, they keep a good variety of the older brands and types of candy there.

ya mean Carmel corn or those candies that look like corn seeds? we got to fleet farm up here to get them nuts, cashews, choco stars and turtles and such... Kare just loves them Carmel apples with nuts but they aren't so cheap no more either at 2 bucks or so apiece, and ya dont want to get a whole case to give away for trick or treat....

I read an article last year about a survey taken by children who trick or treat. One of the things I remember about it was that kids think there is no fun in, "Fun Size" candy bars. If you think of it, it makes sense, where's the fun in a candy bar that's gone in two bites?... Also, kids thought that parents who gave them out during Halloween were just too cheap to give out real size ones...Just thought you should all know...lol...And by the way, Circus Peanuts were number three as the worst. They were right behind, "Mary Janes" and rolls of pennies with a bow around them...

I had to look up Mary Janes, looks like something my Dad would love, I don't know why he likes Circus Peanuts so much, I do think they are terrible, but then again, my Dad loves to eat raw turnips...so...there ya go!

We don't really get Halloween Candy as such, just a bit of a rip off as they put pictures of Pumpkins on the same things we buy all year round lol
