hmmm i smell pie!
now that it October again got all them good smells in the kitchen again got a big loe deep dish apple pie out of the oven , you could smell it clean to the garage.even got the flannal sheets on the bed tonight they sure felt nice when i slid in there by her....

I love the changing seasons, summer is great...but I look forward to the chilly snuggly weather.
The food too! Stew and biscuits, chili, hot cocoa, and of course....the pies!

deep dish apple pie it was great, we stillhave a few apples to peel yet, can make lots of good stuff with them.
its nice to have a stove and oven again to bake ...
and i can smell the wifes pie just fine....we even did biskets and gravy

Need to get the Arkansas black apples..stay on the tree till Nov and can have apple pie through Jan..least here in Calif..

That reminded me...The orchard down the street will be selling their famous, "Cider House Doughnuts". They mix a batch of apple mash into a doughnut dough and cover them in cinnamon sugar. I've been known to eat five or six of these still warm, bad-boys before I realize what happened...

apples have a tensity to clean you out, sometimes better then cabbage, and it time to bake another since we ate it all lol

boy its nice haveing a working oven again , the wife baked some brownies tonight and there mighty tasty. i wanted the wife to make some cookies for the trick of treaters soon need to get some chips and walnuts
