A lock on "Speaking the truth"
Wanted to ad some to the topic "Speaking the truth, didn't go, now i see there is a lock on it. Why is that ????????

I wondered the same thing. Nothing in there looked offensive to me. Sarcastic maybe, but not offensive.

It's a personal choice by the moderators to lock threads according to 'Their' opinion. Was a mod for awhile ..so I understand. No harm no foul...However,there is a thing called the 1st admendment...unless of course your from Canada or the east coast...

Sorry Lev, but First Ammendment has nothing to do with it.
Absix has the right to run his own site with whatever rules he wants. That's his right. Members agree to a terms of use and terms of membership aggreement when joining
Things have changed a whole lot since you were a mod. The mods have far more rules to follow than the members.
We do not lock threads by personal choice based on our opinion...absolutely not. We have our guidelines to follow on this matter and many more and we work together.
As far as the thread being locked, it just takes a click to lock or unlock. LandH did just fine, he questioned the direction the thread was going, he locked it, we all discussed it, and he made a decision to unlock it.
A person's intention may be to just emphasis their point by typing with all caps, but it is seen as shouting and aggressive.
Under the text box is the code for typing in bold, italics, and underlining. Totally acceptable, that's why it's there.

When someone brings up the whole First Amendment thing, we're kinda obligated to make the whole "Why Free Speech doesn't apply here"
I know, it sounds a little bitchy, but it's what we gotta do. It's just something we gotta do, don't wanna do but gotta do....
