Super Maximum Security Prison?
I was watching the news and they said that the guy who tried to set off a car bomb in Times Square was convicted and would more than likely be sent to a "SUPER MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON". Isn't that redundant? Isn't a MAXIMUM SECURITY PRISON "MAXIMUM SECURITY"? What the hell is SUPER MAXIMUM SECURITY? How can you be more than Maximum? Did the news crews just start making up new terms because they got bored? Did I misunderstand the meaning of the word Maximum?

As technology grows, prisons change. We've gone beyond what Maxium use to be.
Nat Geo and a few other channels run some good documentaries on the differences between the security levels of prisons.

That is interesting, there is a Supermaxim prison in Florence Colorado. I will have to read about that.

It is really, they've spent years developing even the toilets for these prisons. They build 'em, learn from the weaknesses and they build newer ones.

Ah, but I never conceded that you were right! Although you made some good points, it wasnt enough to convince me to change my mind. A super max prison is just a high security level 1 with extra protection. It's designed to keep all the people who are afraid more secure from the powers that be.Some are underground, at no additional cost to the taxpayer to keep us safe from the 'so called terrorist'..research it !.. Of course if your into the bondage ..it can be very handy..
