Question
I was driving along one of our city streets one afternoon when beside me two lanes to the left two young women driving in the same direction as me smiled towards me and waved to me using only their thumb and pinky finger. I have seen many other hand signals before but I am puzzled what the thumb and pinky gesture wave means. I wasn't able to change lanes to follow them and they ended up turning left to another street and I had to continue home. I have not seen these women since but I sure would like to know what their hand gesture meant. Can anyone help?

Re: Question
If they had just the thumb and pinky out and the rest folded, it prolly means hang loose. It's common in Hawaii.

Re: Question
I just had to google that cuz I'm such a googlewhore....I'm no less confused about it.
It means allot of things from what I scanned.
Depends I suppose, you were in Canada? We don't know where the women were from and what the common gesture's particular meaning really is.
I googled "Thumb and pinky hand gesture" maybe you can make sense of it since you know more particulars about when the hand gesture was given.
