Noetic science
Largely due to Dan Brown's book 'The Lost Symbol' Noetic science has become more popular recently, what do people think of the idea that our consciousness is the creator of our physical reality?

If anyone's consciousness has created this physical reality then they need to get some serious help.
Talking of which:
Q: How many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?
A: One. But the light bulb has really got to want to change.

Q - How many quantum physicists does it take to change a light bulb?
A - None, once they have observed it is out it has already changed.

Re: Noetic science
As no energy is ever waisted and only transformed, I can aggree with that philosophy, as consciousness is pure energy it is pure potentiality waiting to manifest from the unmanifest.though I don't think it is an instant transition, well not yet anyway..

Re: Noetic science
Sepheroth, nicely written profile!
"Consciousness is the creator of our physical reality?"
I would have to think so...even as simple as being a pessimist or an optimist affects our reality. That reality being whether or not people engage or avoid us, whether or not we're able to give and take constructive feedback. Being an optimistic person certainly opens more doors for us, doors not open to someone mean, angry, hateful...and yes, I suppose vice versa.
I often wonder about how far, how deep our individuality goes, Do we all hear the same notes in the same tone in a song the exact same way? Do we all see color in the exact same tones and shades? I'm sure we don't, so who's world is real if the same world looks, sounds, feels, and smells different than anyone elses?
(sigh) I'm still reading on this, thanks for bringing us this topic.

Re: Noetic science
Thank u Chazzy..
Beautifully put, I think that even though we are all intricately linked in life due to the fact that we all share the same life force and energy, individuality lies in how we perceive things as not all perceptions are the same, there is however a set structure in the workings of all things physical and metaphysical,by shifting collective consciousness to the positive we allow the creative power of it to ensure a positive future, the same can also be said vice versa and have destructive results...

Re: Noetic science
The phenomon of mass hysteria is interesting. So are false or planted memories. I'm certain we all have some amount of false memories, that in fact somehow changes our thoughts and actions just as an actual past event does.

Just curious but do you follow the Kabbalah and Gnosticism?
The reason I first asked this question was because of my spiritual beliefs. Quantum mechanics is confirming that what the Gnostics taught over 3,000 years ago is correct.
