July 4th !!!
Nice holiday, celebrating our independance and all that, we'll be flying flags and thinking of our vets and military of course.
Watermelon, BBQs, fireworks, lawn chair concerts....a nice holiday.
Careful ya'all with those fireworks...last year a woman we know was bragging all week about the great discount bargin fireworks she was able to stock up on....then on the 4th...she lost one eye due to a malfunction of the dam things.
I prefer to watch the large community fireworks show. Silly things aren't any prettier just cuz I personally lit the fuse...I'll leave it to the professionals.

We'll have a BBQ at the folks house. Ma likes it as she gets the 3 day weekend. Me, well guess who gets to work all weekend???

We're keeping it simple, just grillin' some food at home.
History Channel has been running some great shows on American hisrtory, catching what I can of those.

have to plish up the harley today and going riding in wausau, their going to have the big blow out in marathon park, fireworks and rides bands and so on. then come back for a grill out and a fire in the pit...so remember this is when we kicked them redcoats butts and happy 4th. play safe and stay sober

Very rare. Unless she takes time off during the week, we don't any time together. I still can not get any weekends off. In another 5 years I might start to see some full weekends.

I've been glued to the Revolutionary War. It noted there was a code of honor on the battle field. At one point a British officer had a American officer in his sites but would not shoot him as the American officer's back was turned. The American officer was George Washington. Obviously, his death would have dramatically changed the course of history.

ive been watching that, as usual, so many if's and's or buts cud have changed the whole war. Like take WWI for instance. if only a lowly corpral, a runner hadnt survived, even after bein shot at, as so many runners didnt survive, if only his hand wouldnt have been injured & ruined his dreams of being a painter, we would never had the evil man in WWII... I certainly hope History Channel re-runs The Revolutionary War series, I only got to watch bits and parts of it.
It didn't rain, but it was grey, windy and gloomy, hubs had to work Saturday night till early Sunday morning anyway, so we're grilling today.

been raining on and off, but it was warm rain, stood and grilled chicken in it last night, watched a lot of the war stuff on pbs, have to check their web site on history i dont have a dish or cable, i can check hulu too
