Screen windows
Out of the heat surge, and now it couldn't be more pleasant. 80 degrees during the day, down to 60 degrees tonight.
Turning off the air conditioners and sleeping with the windows open. I like that, I like the soft glow from the street light that sits just up the road a bit, I like the sounds of crickets, nightjars and the light traffic noises of the traveling night people coming from the distant highway. I like it when the cool and damp settles in around eleven o'clock and the breezes blow steady across the bed

Re: Screen windows
It was great waking up to open windows too, all the morning birds chirping.
Hubs has been dreaming of central air,and finally had it installed this year, it's nice, but I really miss the fresh air, central air makes me a little too closed in.

Re: Screen windows
we like to hang the box fan in the window blowing out and open one on the other end of the house. the cross breeze cools it off nice, unless it a muggy night then u just need that air on just to sleep. i heard land of lakes hit 32 last night that will give ya goosebumps

Re: Screen windows
I love the cool or cold air, just do... I like the windows open when it's in the 40's or 50's, but I'm fortunate if a cold front comes along and lowers the temp to somewhere in the 60's
