4 days of rain...
they say hasn't help the 8 year drought we been in,but at least they got two floodgates open on the wiscosin now..might even be some current now for fishing

It rains nearly everyday here...fast moving storms blow through, dumps the rain and is gone 20 minutes later.
Haven't had to water any gardens this year.

we got about 3 days of good soaking rain, our old place we use to have a rain barrel, dunk the can in and water the garden, if your lucky to have one. we use to roll the hose out and water, even the strawberries are early this year, we didn't go picking ether. no jam to spread on the toast this year or hand out to tourists....lol

yep miss the rain barrel too,time to time the skeeds would get in it and lay eggs and then ya have to dump it into the punkinpatch and mellons.
bad thunder storms again last night, just hear them booming to the west had funnel warnings till 1 am, guess minasota had touch downs, two people got killed. thats the only thing i didnt about living in the sticks with no warning systems....but at least i got a weather cat she will wake me up if its booming.....

Once we found some of those, what they call horsehair snakes in the rain barrel, I had heard of them, but that was the first time I had actually seen them.
I hate tornado season, the warning sirens are just a few blocks away, but we have a NOAH radio too, they work real well, has a flashing light, siren and all that.

i have one of them radios too, i gave it to my mom, it ate a lot of batterys, we were useing it in the camper and it works better on ac.our son got us a lantern by life+gear, its kinda neat has a solarcell on top or you can crank it up too or 3 aas. also has a am fm weatherband radio too,a siren then 6v dc out and in and aux in.its small in size and easy to pack on a bike or even in a back pack, and for leds it bright,even the flashlight....

Mine's got a flashlight, and a crank, it's plugged in right now in the kitchen but we figured it would be handy to take down to the basement on those rare occasions when the town sirens are going off.
Just had a wicked storm blow through, I was trying to get in some laundry, put the patio umbrella down and some pretty big tree limbs were cracking and dropping everywhere. There's the fire kindling for next year!

Helluva fast storm went through last night, stuck down a tree about a block and a half away from my home, snapped it in two and fried it black.

yep us too, babe kept the wife up again, was her turn lol
just glad we wernt on the interstate doing 70 like the other day got burnt and poured on. also glad you got warning sirens that even work, wi seems to have a problem keeping them working been a few towns in the last few years that have not like eagle , sireen....

well three days of rain canceled all the fireworks for us. they have been all rescheduled during other events coming up it just hot and muggy, just glad we not on the esat coast lol

No more rain then the short pounding(sounds sexual don't it)lol we had yesterday,A little cooler but humidity is still over the top..they are saying rain tomorrow and cooler temps,,,we will just have to wait and see.

A storm did blow through yesterday, dumped a bunch of rain.
We've had some droughts in the past, a few times, all the lakes and ponds got so low....they found a bunch of crime evidence even guns, where people had thrown stuff in thinking it would never be found.

another rainy day on a Thursday,i hear ya on on stuff they throw in the water that goes on up here too, bikes and such and Warsaw has some one that like to toss body's in the river just before freeze up,i guy i knew disappeared and that's one of one that they found after about two years,they drain the hydro pond and found him and his bike?
but they open the ponds and people look for fishing lures and big ole clams and such

i read the Governor is calling it a disaster area, flooding and trees down... wausau got hit by a twister they are saying, and again they set off the warning system and noone heard the warnings signals, not working again, wiscosin seems to have a problem latly with that....tax dollors hard at work

I believe the sinkhole on the news was in Wisconsin, on a street, it was massive and swallowed a SUV.
We get the occasional sinkholes here, but they are of natural causes, we have allot of caves here, and the old clay pits sometimes give way too.
