June is for brides
June is the biggest wedding month, so I've always heard anyway so ..... anything wedding goes with this topic.
What was your own wedding like? (if applicable!) Have you ever attended a strange or weird themed wedding? What was the funniest or strangest thing you've ever seen at a wedding? Do you ever try to catch the bouquet or garter? Have you ever been really drunk at a reception... or have you ever been sober at a reception?
Anything at all to do with weddings....
I don't think I like the trend of aggressive and violent cake in the face smashing. Now it's expected for the bride and groom to have a crazy weird "first dance" worthy of youtube...don't really like that either.
I've seen wedding photos displayed in someones house from a theme wedding and yeah, they kinda regret the over the top theme...in my area, that means if it were a late 80's early 90's wedding...the groom is in a Texas Cowboy type of tux, the bride wearing a Loretta Lynn style gown with a veiled cowboy hat both posing on bales of hay. The cowboy theme later gave way to the ....redneck camouflage wedding.

Re: June is for brides
I got married in June and then 15 years later this year had my son, which makes the day a good day.
It was a day where i nearly beat up my brother in laws date and i had an arguement with my father in law.
My mother in law took over arrangements which spoilt my day and the men wouldn't wear what i wanted. My husband didn't back me up at all, hence he is now my EX!!!!

Re: June is for brides
I had the simple courthouse wedding, the hubs wore a new suit, I wore a very nice suit dress, family from both sides were present.
We had the reception at a relatives house. I noticed in the photos when we got them back, that one so closely resembled my parents wedding photo, Dad in a suit and Mom also wore a similiar styled suit dress, the pose was the same, background similiar (they eloped) so that's kinda cool I think.

Re: June is for brides
February Wedding. I didn't want a Valentine's wedding, although it was done with red roses and red dresses. We had it February 21, which was my girlfriend's birthday. She was my maton of honor and at the reception I surprised her with a large birthday cake. Later her sister told me Sandra wondered why I never even wished her "Happy Birthday". She is rather shay and I love the pics I have suprising her with the cake and everyone singing her Happy Birthday.
My other gf became intoxic at my brothers wedding. She wanted desperately to sing with the band. She did manage to fall out of the car. Lucky it was not moving at the time.
