The Pill
This week was the 50th anniversary of "The Pill"
On the pro side, it did free up women to make serious career and family planning decisions.
On the con side, it may have freed us up a bit too much by causing us to indulge in free love, more sex sex sex and made sex more of a recreation with less consequences and/or commitment.
What do you see as the pros and cons of the pill and it's affect on us?

To many young girls are on it at school to have sex , they forget to take it and, yes the inevitable happens. 
They are on the pill so the boy doesn't think there is any need to use anything, so they both forget that a baby isn't the only thing that can come out of having sex!!!!

my only bitch is it left us with one child after she had the 10 pound ovarian cyst many years ago, when they finnally took her off she went post menopause.which left us wanting another child and a long story......

Well it definitly put the pressure on women for birth control. I think it also gave us the freedom, if you want to call it that, for the sexual revolution to begin. Whether that is good or bad, can be debated, but it still happened.

I use a male birth control pill. Theyre kinda big though. You put it in your shoe and it makes you limp.

I maybe in a minority here....was on the pill like many others for many years, eventually got fed up taking it and stopped, the inevitable happened, which we didnt expect, now have 2 kids, love them to pieces, but in hindsight, given the choice, was not the best thing, just wish we had had them younger, would have had more energy!! lol lol lol..

well with the pill or with the condom everything has a 50/50 chance . i think it goes back to teaching ur kids, but im not stupid & most parents arent either if their going to have sex it will happen .in my case i was put on it to get my monthly under control but got off when i wanted to have children but to find out later it was never going to happen anyway my ovaries were riddled with cyst. so as in life itself u still have a 50/50 chance with ur decisions. so make it well . keep ur head up which ever way it takes u .
