An object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion : prepossession.
An object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression"
True sexual psychologically fetishes are pretty rare, but the word "fetish" has come to mean over comtempary times, as anything you have a thing for.
That's the meaning of the word in this forum, to talk about whatever you have a thing for, black lace, being spanked, etc...
