Park it
I was just kinda wandering about something...how do ya'all park your car?
I know people who fuss about very much to back their car in so when they want to leave, they say it's quicker for them to just pull out.
I dunno, maybe it's depends on our personality type somehow?
I mean, if you get all particular about backing in just so you have a quick and easy out....or you easily and quickly just pull in and be a bit fussy about backing out....it's like a mirror image of the same thing, I don't see the time saver there. Maybe depending on the parking spot, you might have a visibility thing, but not a time saver.
So...which one is you, backing in so you can pull out or pull in and then back out?

Re: Park it
I'm not one to go all over a parking lot looking for a close good spot either, or park alone in the back to lessen the chance of shopping cart and car door dings....I just pick a spot and park it.

Re: Park it
The Jeep I pull in forwards since it's not a problem to back up.
The truck I back in whenever I can. It's usually easier to back into a place than back out of it. Especially at a truck stop.

In the 30's, when a driver backed into a garage, it was called "gangster style," for a quick getaway.

Re: Park it
At places that are very hot on Health & Safety, oil companies for example, they make you reverse into a parking place as they consider it safer.
Not entirely sure I follow their logic, but it seems a fairly common theme.

I think thier thinking is that people don't pay as much attention when backing out after work. They're in a hurry to get home or to whereever.
