It's been an ordeal
As many of you know, I'm not one to talk about my personal/business life online. However--------

About a month ago, I found out my semi truck engine had a broken crankshaft. This could explain in part why it never ran correctly.

I found another truck in CA for what I thought was a reasonable price. I asked the bank about this before I got home on 4/5. I was told that they wouldn't finance it.

So, I got home and asked them again and was refused again. I put the truck I had on ebay and sold it to help reduce what I owed. After the sale, I asked about the loan again and was refused.

I called the banks VP at their home office and explained the situation to him. Amazingly, the manager of the bank here called. I asked why he refused my request. He said "you weren't getting anything out of it" I asked who he was to make such a decision without talking to me. I told him I get a lot more than money from that and his decision should have been based on my ability to repay. NOT his personal opinion. I told him that he's always received the required payments on time and that his payment came before everyone Else's. He said he'd look at it.

Well, I got the truck I wanted and from driving it from CA to home, it was well worth what I [the bank] paid for it. Now, I'll be able to repay this bank. No credit card payment, no car payments, just the truck.

I cann't even begin to relate the depression I've went thru with this.

Thanks. It was most depressing seeing my dreams dissappear. Now I can start to gain some monetary momentum.

Have to say, sometimes it makes me wonder why some ...... behind a desk gets to decide something that can make or break a person/business. Their decision can have devastating consequences. They are no-body really

I am so glad everything worked out and sorry for the stress you experienced. I feel you are damn lucky in a sense because people are f'ing idiots.

It is so hard to get a job now a days, yet so easy for some to be brainless, unethical, and lazy to keep a job.

One of the things that I laughed about was the bank manager said I could drive someone elses truck. I told him that wasn't an option as they don't maintain anything to my satisfaction. They wait until it breaks then blame the driver. Then I told him he wasn't going to see any more money from me. He said they would garnish my wages. I responded by telling him there wouldn't be any for him to garnish. After all, I'm 55. what am I going to do?
I'm not old enough to be a Wal-Mart greeter.
