kitchen nightmares
watching a show called kitchen nightmares this one tonight has to be the worst restaurant i ever seen, rotten food in the freezer , disgusting bath rooms so on and so forth.
we only had a couple of bad experiences on at McDonald's in Milwaukee when i walked in to the john and a Greek place in Steven's point that served us food that was SO hot ya couldn't eat it then while we were inside our car was broken into and my digital cam was took.

I didn't see tonight's episode, but I have watched the show before.
Geez.....scary eh?
I did go to a "hip" area of the city where all the cool bars and resturaunts are...we ended up at one place, one of those with their own brand of beers. The appetizers were good, but it was the worst Margarita I've ever had, we had to send them back, and the restrooms were beyond disgusting.

this place was bad they did a make over on it and the chef plain didn't care he got fired lazy and a bad attitude to boot

I did see the opening of last's nights show, I saw Ramsey wait over an hour for his food, and he squeezed all the grease out of his sandwich, and the dough in the pizza was raw.

Speaking of kitchen nightmares.... how bout boiling marbles.. yeah I said boiling marbles, lmao. Yeah, when I was a kid someone told me if I boiled marbles, then took a hammer to them under cold water they'd crack within the inner structure of them... BUT, as I was taking the boiling hot water to the sink, it spilled on my belly causing excruciating pain and ending up in the ER for some serious burns on my whole stomach area. I survived, but it hurt like hell being 10 years old. I tell ya, the stupid things we do as kids, lol.

Oh horrors!!! I watched this past episode, about the Mexican resturaunt that was using frozen food over a year old!
If I watch much more of this show, I may never eat out again. (...and we rarely ever dine out)

hey, shows like that give us cooks a bad rap, yeah, i'm sure that there are a lot of places like that, but not EVERY food place is that bad....

yep thats the same one sqwezzin grease and the pizza half cooked the the tour of the kitchen

There's a really nice diner just up the road from me, and a really nice resturaunt about 10 minutes away, I trust them to eat there.
I don't how these resturants in the Kitchen Nightmares shows managed to stay open at all!
Usually a local paper will give the monthly (or is it weekly) health inspection ratings of all the area resturaunts. It's a good way to get an indication of where not to eat.

We have a nice place to eat just a few blocks from us. Owner is a really nice guy . He was told too slow down after he had a heart attack, so what does he do, open a second place.

we have a few places here in merrill too, skippers and the white Buffalo burnt down before thanksgiving last year, was a good place for chicken and fish, see its being rebuilt this spring. putting a ratting in the paper is a good idea, never seen it in WI.Ill is bad a Friend got a gravy covered cockroach once in the hot beef ,the best place is right on my grill, i dont have to worrie about bugs then
