I'm so weak....
I am...I'm weak...I've been having this serious Jelly Bean craving for a week or so.
Finally I cave, give in...I bought a small bag and ate half of them, now I'm getting a toothache and I'm still thinking...
"There's still half a bag left, and I could chew on the other side!"

Re: I'm so weak....
I wish I could be a gavvone eating jelly beans but being diabetic I can't, not even the sugar-free jelly beans, due to side effects from them (I'll pay no matter if I eat the regular or the dietetic kind). Eat em and be happy!

Re: I'm so weak....
Chazzy, it's quite ok.
Every so often i come across candy I havn't had in a long time. Circus Peanuts, burnt peanuts, candy corn, peanut brittle, etc. [kind of sounds like a peanut thing---lol] I always eat way too much and suffer after.
Somehow seems worth it.

You have Type 1, that's juvenile diabetes right? From friends I've known with juvenile diabetes, by adulthood.... after decades of controlling it, sugar is a just another childhood memory to them and they've adapted very well. Bless 'em! I remember what a tough childhood they had, holidays, birthday parties with all the cake, candy and sugar and back then, the sugar alternatives were so bad.
I really feel for any of you out there that develope diabetes later in life and suddenly have to make serious major changes after a lifetime of a diet full of sugar.
Bless you too!
Yeah, still have half that bag of Jelly Beans left, and I'm not going to weaken today! No, not gonna eat them!

Re: I'm so weak....
Ah hell, never my mind previous post tica I'm totally confused now...you've been in the forums allot talking about sweets and stuff. Like the Chocolate thread you posted not so long ago.
I'm sorry dear....I don't know everything about diabetes, but if ya can't eat jelly beans or even diabetic sweets, but talk about licking chocolate of a man, ...I'm just confused...so well never mind!

Ah, I would not like being allergic to Licorice...I also love my "Good-n-Plenty's"
I'm with you JC, the "old fashioned" candy (can be harder to find) but it is sold in big bulk bags at a local farm and home store, I always pick up my dad's favorite for him
They're those little peanut butter bars, kinda taste like a Butterfinger without the chocolate.
What are those Neapolitan coconut things called?? I get a craving for those too.

Re: I'm so weak....
It's good that you do take control over it all. Hubs has just about everything that you frequently mentioned here (and then some)
I'm the one that has to track his daily routines, take responsibilty for all the diet changes, keep his log and journal, and all that, check with his many doctors (cardioligist, urologist, neuroligist, etc...)about whatever one of the other doctors prescribe. My mom does the same for my Dad and his list of conditions and ailments are longer than yours.
Dad, is one tough cookie for sure. How he stays so active and upbeat is nothing short of pure inspiration!

Re: I'm so weak....
Must be tough on you chazzy, you are there for so many people and never seem to get angry or fed up about it.
Or make a big thing about what you do or how you feel

Re: I'm so weak....
Hey, I figure (Hell I know for a fact) there are some of us on here who are suffering from a mountian of physical Chronic pain and have incurable diseases, some are watching their loved one wither and crumble right before them.
I figure, no one has a charmed life, we all have a long list of past personal history that is no where near "storybook and fairytale"
They may not discuss these things with us all, most are are of the type that do not want themselves or their lives to be defined by their own illness or thier own past and present misfortune. You would not know from their activity here that they have so much going on with them. This I beleive is what we all share...life is a tough journey, don't carry the heavy baggage with you.
We talk about things in PMs, I listen, I am amazed at their strength and personal philosophy, the devotion to their faith, thier striving to make sense of it all.
I'm there for them when they are so tired, exhausted, angry and want to just give up.
I'm happy to be here for that, and them. They are the amazing ones.
