Whose Getting Snow That Normally Doesn't?
I just saw on the news that Pensacola is getting snow for the first time in 30 years. And so many places, especially on the East Coast are reporting record amounts of snow accumulation. Now, I'm in a suburb of Buffalo, well known for it's snow, and we haven't really had it too bad this year, at least not yet. What's it like where you live? For example, Iwanttokissyouallover, are you getting snow in Bendover? LOL!

We still have about 12" on the ground. Not much for snow really. We have had the bitter cold though, someone else please take that part of our winter. March is suppose to be our heavy month, we'll wait and see. They have had more snow in the southern part of the state than we have had. I don't mind the snow, just don't want that bitter cold.

Terrible winter this year. We had an inch of snow again this morning, although I've been telling all the women it's really 6 inches.

we got a inch here in south west louisiana wth twice this winter but the saints did win the super bowl     news said 49 states got snow last night hell has froze over lol

We had snow here before Christmas quite bad and during the last couple of months, usually get a tiny bit, stays for a day and goes.
Never had it this bad,
I do love the snow though!!!

I'm with you I'm going to start building a master bath when it warms up so it needs to hurry up i have stuff piled up in my shop to do it wife is getting bitchy over it getting done

We haven't had any snow here, but it's so much colder than usual. We haven't had a 70 in the forecast for a while and we're not used to the cold weather!

The forecasters are saying more snow today. These bitter cold, snowy winters are toooo much for this 98 year old  but I'm here helping assist my family. I went out Saturday trying to dig out and shovel around my vehicle in the parking lot which took roughly 1.5 hours and by Sunday morning I woke up and could barely walk due to extreme pain in my lower back with having stenosis, degeneration, slip discs and other conditions.. never let alone the cold and what it's doing to me, YUCK!! Calling the Dr today, the pain won't subside. (when you live alone the walls become your best friend....ok, I'm done with bitching for now, lol)

You split the persimmon pit, it will look like a spoon, a knife or a fork.
Depending on what you see, forecasts the coming winter.

Free Are you kidding your from up by Buffalo! I'm from New York City and I know what they are. Ever heard of playing possum? They are like Giant Rats but really stupid. If you scare them they just have a kind of fit. But they can get really nasty. Had one caught in a trap here (I was trying to trap my neighbors rabbit that got out and under my deck) and it hissed like crazy. They are also nasty as hell if they have babies around.

Opossum is the correct spelling (and pronunciation) of Possum, dear.
It's common to drop the "O". Hardly anyone ever pronounces the "O" anymore really.

Chazzy If you are trying to correct my spelling don't. It will drive you crazy Its a more than full time job. You might be better off getting a translator Because my spelling is so bad it sometimes takes a while to figure out what I am actually trying to say.That being said can I put in a plea for a spell correction thing added to the chat rooms? JUST FOR ME SO PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND ME. Others seem to do just fine. It's like my mind shut off the part that spells somewhere around first grade. It's very sad.

Just explaining to Free that possum and opossum are the same animal, just different pronunciation and spelling.
Sometimes when I'm online doing some research or typing out document, I kinda go into a more formal mode which is reflected in my posting.
Otherwise, I usually type in the dialect that I speak, I am a hillbilly afterall.
