you don't even have to upgrade to VIP to hook-up. it does make it easier, though. i hooked up with anther member here, and i wasn't a VIP at the time.

 have fun!  Using the chat rooms and the forum helps in getting acquainted with others. I wasn't a VIP member for a long time. Some of the features I like with being a VIP are sending emails back and forth, instead of the naughty notes, the naughty list tells you most of the time when friends are on WN, and when they have visited whether today or last week, etc. Like LandH said, you don't have to upgrade to hook-up (use the chat rooms and PM each other, see where it leads), you can send emails to VIP members, naughty notes to regular members, good luck!
