Not being political here.-----

I think it really sucks when people don't have anything have it destroyed. Left with even less.

I hope that situation is improved and very soon

Re: Hayti
Good news is that several large companies have donated $1 milion each and some with matching contribution from employees and customers. From the list on tv this am it had to amount to $10 million if not more.

Re: Hayti
If you text "Haiti" to 90999 it will charge $10.00 to your phone bill, which goes directly to the Red Cross for relief to the victims in Haiti.I researched it & its Legit.

Re: Hayti
Cooperating help organisations in the Netherlands will use 730.000 euro's , that were collected for the aid of the 2004 Tsunami, for aid of Haiti.
There is not a little doubt this country and its people need help and they need it fast.
What i don't understand is: how can there be such an amount of money left over from that 2004 disaster and don't tell me all needs in those countries are solved.
Maybe i am sarcastic, but i am losing faith in these help organisations.

I can understand ur concerns..but lets be clear that any money that goes to this disaster is needed desperately..one of the main link for these poor innocent people have r the charity organisations for their survival..so please lets not get into a debate of whether we can trust them or not..the important thing here is that aid is getting there no matter where its comming from....and these charity organisations r doing a damm good job....so lets have some faith in them..?

Re: Hayti
You are right too, there are still organisations that do what they are created for, Red Cross and Docters without Borders are amongst those, i believe and hope.

Every tiny bit of help they can bring overthere is good, but having faith in these organisations, no i can't have that.

Re: Hayti
How can we know how to help? I've heard so many not-so-good things about some of the most popular charities... If you want to make a donation, how do you decide who will really help?

I only donate to The Red Cross and designate it for the current crisis. This time it's Hayti.

Re: Hayti
Ya Know, don't get me wrong, these people really need help!
But what I guess pisses me off is I don't see any asking where the send the money to help the thousands of homeless, orphans, poor Ect.... right here in our or your country! they just get pushed aside forgotten or just ignored, it's not untill tragedy happens that people open the wallets! somehowe people have put people in the category of "OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND" very very sad.
