Why do people think it is okay to change the rules based on how much people are worth? You can't do it to the poor and you can't do it to the rich. The rules are the rules.

Because a fine that is a terrible thing to the average person is pocket change to a rich person, and since this particular person was a repeat offender, the judge made a decision to impose a tougher penalty. The precedent in Swiss law was already there, since there was a $107,000 fine in the past that was allowed, so the judge isn't doing something they're not allowed to do.
Basically, the fine is meant to be a punishment, and this particular person didn't see it as a punishment since they kept doing it. So the judge made the punishment harsher so that maybe this guy will see it as a punishment.

My last one only cost me 75. He was nice though, only wrote me for 14 over, and being I was out of state, it could have been worse.

Uhm....my ex wifes insurance bill is probably responsible for remodeling the Trans-America tower. She backed into my car,and by seeing how far the car had slid sideways, she was breaking the speed limit going backwards, lol. And who'd of guessed this, But somehow, it was MY FAULT? ...theres a shocker, lol
