No happy ending.
Who wants happy endings in movies ? I like a dramatic end.
In which movie does the star die at the end of the movie.
Mel Gibson in Braveheart

Re: No happy ending.
A movie that has no ending are the kind that suck. You've watched a great movie for a good two hours, and at the end it makes you hang wondering all the would be's, could be's, etc.

Re: No happy ending.
True but if the main character dies, there's no open end.
Carrie (book Stephen King) , she died, didn't she ??

Re: No happy ending.
If there's a good plot, it's okay for the main character to die, at least it makes you think... oh well, guess it's based on the individual and the specific movie... JMO.

Re: No happy ending.
well, you could take the movie "First Blood" as an example of a movie, based on a book, where in the book, John Rambo dies, and in the movie...he lives. (unless you watch the alternate ending on the DVD). i read the book, and saw the movie. the movie was good, but the book was MUCH better. and if you read the second installment....the prologue submits a disclaimer that reads something like this...in the first book, the character of John Rambo died. due to the success of the film version, we decided to revive the character in order to create the sequel....

I know there are many, however, nothing would come to mind. Finally, all I could come up with is Romeo and Juliet, and The Notebook.

Oh I'm sorry...I thought this was about the kind of happy endings you'd get from a massage ?!...Opps!...My Bad. Imagine if they got those kinds of happy endings? Some of those waste of time flicks wouldn't seem so wasted...

Michael (1996) .... Michael
Phenomenon (1996) .... George Malley
These are both good movies, however, I don't recall the end of either.
