Once a post/topic (thread) is created, it is like a living thing, something with a life of it's own.
No one can predict how long it will run, when it will go dormant, when it will rise up again or if it will seemingly fall off to the back pages without a single reply only months or years later suddenly pop back up on the front page and spring to life.
