A fun Muppet thread
It's the 40th Anniversary of Sesame Street today, I know that cuz the google doodle told me so...
So...if you could be a muppet, which one would you be, or which one do you most resemble?
I'm not that familiar with them but I know Cookie Monster gets lots of cookies but he lives in a trash can I think, Kermit is the coolest but that Lady Pig one is always sexually harrassing him, Big Bird is just way too tall, Beaker is cool, but that's more of a Mooant Muppet!

Re: A fun Muppet thread
i LOVE Kermit the frog, he's still humble after all these years!
i also like Dr. Teeth and the band, Floyd is a great guitar player, Zoot really blows on the Sax, Janice slaps a mean bass, Rowlf tickles the ivory pretty, and Animal pounds the drums like nothing i've ever seen before...
(no matter what Statler & Waldorf say!)
oops...these guys are from the Muppets Show, and it's Sesame Streets anniversary)
Bert and Ernie are my two favorite SS friends!

Re: A fun Muppet thread
I just love all muppets, can't celebrate Sesame Street Anniversary without honoring Jim Henson and all of his creatures and creations.
(closest thing to a "muppet" emoticon we have)

Re: A fun Muppet thread
a couple of weeks a go on "Dinner: Impossible" they cooked a meal for the celebration of Sesame Street's anniversary party..."Brought to you by the letter B" all the dishes had to contain food beginning with the letter "B".
Elmo & Cookie Monster were "sous chefs" but ultimately got thrown out of the kitchen by Chef Irvine, they can't work by a grill, and the can't use a sharp knife. but Maria was there to lend a helping hand!

That garbage guy Oscar, has a heart... he just wants everyone to think he's hardcore. Mr. Snuffleupagus is so cute, and loved by everyone on Sesame Street.

Re: A fun Muppet thread
Speaking of Jim Henson, has anyone seen the movie "Labyrinth?"
I bought it some years back as I always admired Jim Henson but more then that all the music for the film was written by David Bowie. And Bowie also plays the "Goblin King"...Jennifer Connely who's been in many films, ( A beautiful Mind is the only one I can think of right now ) is the other main star, she was probably 14-15 yrs old at the most. If you like the muppets, and or David Bowie, I believe you'll enjoy this movie. I saw it and bought it I liked it so much....The music is really good too...it's Bowie!

Re: A fun Muppet thread
Grand, I do I have seen parts the movie Labyrinth, but it's been so long ago, I know it runs on cable often enough, I'll have to catch a bit of it some day to refresh.
And yes...Bowie is cool.
Does any channel re-run "The Muppet Show" by chance would anyone know?

Today is Elmo!
I'm rather suprised I recognize the google doodles, I'm just not that familiar with Sesame Street.
I like Elmo, he's the red ticklish one everyone went crazy for several years ago at Christmas right?
