Recession
I was just wondering how, or if the current economic times have affected you? I think we talked about this a few months back. And back then, it wasnt bothering me too much. But now, its hit me like a sledge hammer in the nads. Im forced to close down my business that I've had for 16 years and Im so deep in debt that I'm choking. I'm a bit too old to start a new career, and Im also a bit too stubborn to work for anyone. I hope to hell that none of you are going through the same kinda crap.

Not that it makes ya feel better, but ya are far from alone.
I havn't gotten to the place you're at but it's been a challenge this year. 
Hopefully it'll improve for ya.

Yeah, it's been a really rough couple of years...my older brother is pretty much going through everything you described, we're all so worried about him.

About a year ago MA was laid off from her job. But late this spring she was called back. Now they are so busy, They are now going to run the plant 24/7. They went to a different shift schedule 12 hrs a day for 3days on then 3 days off. They will have to run that schedule until atleast into next year. They have had record orders coming in.
My job, I do not have to worry about. I have more job security than I want, unlesxs I screw up big time. The only thing with me, is we will not get any raises until we get a new contract, another year and half away. We have had no raises for 6 out of the last 10 years. About time to get a nice wage adjustment along with the pay increase.
