Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year.
What are the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide?
Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Not to offend you Slowpoke, but the joke is the fact that people read this and get all on board with trying to ban it. The sciency types love to pull this out when people get in your face about banning something horrible, like animal testing...

And it wasn't your everyday science fair... It was a science fair of many elite high school students competing for 10 grand based scholarships and showing off to leading science and technical companies. If I remember correctly.

The history of this is as interesting as the orgin. (I've always found snopes trustworthy and just way fun to read for stuff like this)
